Silence is not golden

January 30, 2012

As a sometimes musician, there are few things in this world that I enjoy more than being in a studio in the wee hours of the morning, pushing buttons and turning dials with only a bottle of whiskey to keep me company. Over the years I’ve had brief run-ins with another time of day, and in more recent months it’s slowly become another of my favorite times. In the scope of 24 hours the two are relatively close yet still complete worlds away from each other.

The camera on my phone doesn’t do it justice, but walking into the sunrise on my way home after a run is amazing.

I ran without music this morning just to see what it was like. I’d have to say I’m not a fan of it. Music isn’t a necessity so to speak, but I’d rather have it than not. Having it this morning would have given me something to take my mind off the cold. I don’t understand the science behind it, but the cold is my enemy.

No poop to speak of this morning, but that lovely glass full of green was breakfast, so I’m sure it’s on the way. Mmmmmmmmmm kale shake!

Since I didn’t listen to music this morning, I’ll just leave you with a video I shot testing out the video feature I just discovered on my phone. Yup, I keeps up wit’ tek-naw-low-gee! It was too dark for my phone this morning so it’s mostly audio, but enjoy it anyway.
