Take a good look ladies

February 1, 2012

Procrastination was on the table for nearly eight hours today, but I eventually kicked it in the nuts and sent it on its way.

I wish I could say that I slept in because I did something super cool, but I was just going through my nightly routine of reading the “Song of Ice and Fire” series until I nod off enough to drop the book and forget what page I was on. In truth, I think I was asleep by 10 p.m. (11 at the latest). Regardless, sleeping in was super cool on it’s own, as I haven’t done it in a while. Normally when I look out the window and see darkness, I tend to rush to get outside, because like a vampire, the sun’s coming up, and I’d like to be back inside by then. Seeing sunlight this morning brought a sense of … well, to call it a ‘sense of calm’ is too boring, but to call it a “sense of who gives a fuck’ is too harsh. In lieu of more descriptive language, I felt no need to hurry up and get moving.

The problem with half hour workouts, is that there a numerous other activities that are just as long or even shorter, so it’s easy to keep putting off if you don’t do it first thing. Currently, my life isn’t as hectic as most, but still, once you get into your daily routine, it can be hard to inject an unplanned half hour or so. But I did finally hit the streets around 4 p.m. today.

It wasn’t odd running during the day, just different. Although, a couple of fat ladies laughed and pointed at me when they drove by. It brought to mind something I saw on Reddit last week.

The main difference was that the rise in temperature finally caused me to “need” water after my run. However, even with increased water loss, I still felt ‘recovered,’ so to speak, after my cooldown. More so after my shower.

I still need to update everyone on music, and there’s two or three other posts I need to write. Have patience though, I can only fight off one big bought of procrastination a day. Maybe another one later this evening, but don’t hold your breath. Tomorrow for sure though.

Pretty Lights and Puscifer were on the iPod, but I’m leaving you with some CKY circa the IDR record.
